It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved founder, Mr. Sunderasen A/L Thangarajan , affectionately known as "Cikgu PLC" by the thousands of students, engineers, and professionals whose lives he touched throughout his remarkable career.

Mr. Sunderasen founded AS Automation Services Malaysia (ASASMY) , also widely recognised as the PLC Training Centre Malaysia , with a singular vision — to make industrial automation education accessible, practical, and world-class for every Malaysian engineer. What began as one man's passion for teaching grew into one of the nation's most respected automation training institutions, registered with HRDCorp and trusted by companies and individuals across the region.

As a pioneer in PLC and industrial automation training in Malaysia, Cikgu PLC dedicated his life to bridging the gap between classroom theory and real-world factory floor applications. His hands-on teaching philosophy covered the breadth of global automation platforms — from Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Mitsubishi to Omron, Schneider, Keyence , and beyond. He did not just teach PLC programming; he built confidence, shaped careers, and opened doors for countless engineers to excel in the field of industrial automation.

Beyond being a brilliant educator, Mr. Sunderasen was a loving father, a generous mentor, and a man of deep faith and integrity. His warmth, patience, and genuine care for every student who walked through the doors of the training centre made ASASMY more than a business — it was a family.

His legacy lives on through every PLC programme written by his students, every production line optimised by the engineers he trained, and every life he inspired to pursue excellence in automation. The spirit of Cikgu PLC will forever be the foundation upon which AS Automation Services continues to serve the automation community.
