From wiring a training kit to testing a control program, practical learning took centre stage at ASASMY on 21–23 September 2026. Company-sponsored engineers from an engineering services company joined our three-day Basic-to-Intermediate course at the ASASMY Training Lab in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

The sessions connected Siemens S7-1200 hardware with TIA Portal V18 and the KTP400 HMI. Engineers practised hardware and HMI configuration, backup and restore procedures, online debugging, troubleshooting, and hardware wiring through a hands-on project. Working directly with the equipment helped connect software instructions to physical inputs, outputs and operator screens.
